I have a couple shots very similar to this. I was not happy with them. The reason? I felt the lack of lighting in the sky hurt the image. I feel the same way about your shot as well. It is tough to get there in time, but the photos I've seen from this spot that are very strong have dusk lighting. A purple/blue sky really makes this a stand out shot. The black or nearly black sky restricts the depth to the image. At least for me.
