About	I added a dry-brushed layer done in PS to the original at 80% opacity. Also ran the facet filter over the same layer, trying to get an oil painted look to the photo.

I think this is a very nice abstract! The colors are wonderful and the distortion makes it quite interesting. Also, I like the way that you composed this image.

Very nicely Done Beverly...cool after effects also...just dont like the wrinkle effect on the bottom of the frame off from the right corner...it is obviously some reflection or it is a wrinkle in the backdrop, dont mind it up higher as it does appear to be a reflection or a see through of the wrinkle through the bowl....also in the upper left corner the yellow on the backdrop shouldnt be there make it the same as the rest of the back drop....and the 6 yellow pixels above or on the edge of the bowl above the lemon....

your pretty good in shop to do this...see if you can clone GARY BANZHOFF into a cute guy....

interesting image simple yet effective try this to other fruits to see what interesting color textures you can come up with
