Well balanced, well lit. Nice eye contact and great catchlights, Overall nice portrait. My faults, too small, and there is a bit of Photoshop oversharpening around his hands. If I took this image, I would remove the watch, and gobo the light on his hands so they don't draw attention away from his face.

I saw this in random images -- the combination of strong face, black shirt, hat and mustache, with a gentle pose caught my eye -- very nice portrait.

This is James and it's nice to meet you. I love your images. Great lighting and obviously great printing. I'm glad you got back into photography. I love looking at others images. I look at images all day long at work and never tire of it. Hope to continue seeing yours on here.

Hi, M.A., thanks for your compliments. I got some good advice from one of the members, about using 400-800 speed film. I use slide alot so have been bringing out the 400. And guess what, I saw a bunch of deer today. My first 1/2 doz. pics were just point and shoot due to the excitement. Anyway, they were so kind as to stand still long enough for me to grab my tripod, looked straight at me and I got a couple of more shots, using 400 slide. It was evening, so, only hope at least one of them come out worthy enough to post.
