You good great lighting but I find that the street light is very distracting in this picture. It takes your eyes away from everything else. Keep up the good work.

Hi Paul, When I commented on the cropped version, I hadn't seen this one yet. The touch of red in the ESB (That makes sense, now) adds a nice touch of colour, but I miss the street sighn in the lower right corner. A crop would probably be in order, but I think the optimal version might lie somewhere in between the two you posted, but needless to say, that's only my humble interpretation.... (See attached image, just another solution)

Although this is an awesome shot, I'd definately go for the cropped version, as there's a bit too much black on the left, and I find the line of light on the roof on the right a bit distracting.

Taras,
I'm going to upload another shot focusing on the streetlight and lower buildings, after thinking about your critique. Thanks!

For my shot of the Empire State Building, I used a 1-second exposure, which is why the red came out at all. Thanks for your comments, John.

Good shot Paul and here you have an interesting technic! Normaly the two bright lights can makes damage on the background's exposure however even the red lighted building looks good!!! Did you use a filter for this or it is just an long exposure? Eather or, it is good job!
Regards, JH.

Actually, you've prompted me to crop a second shot of just the light and lower building; I'll post it Saturday. ;)

I like the street light.. but I think that is effected the lighting of ESB... the building seems dark. But the lamp post and the smaller building came out excellent. good work

Dang! I thought it was as in Fullers ESB (Extra Special Bitters) Someone before me rated this far too low. Was it taken same trip as that steam photo? I really like this. Has a very 50's art deco look. I gotta tell Gabe about this one....

Paul,

A larger depth of field would help this image. The upper stories are a bit soft. I like the street lights in the foreground.
