Right, so this is an issue they could adress?
...next budget round?
Has it been discussed do you know?
I have noticed some changes in my own photos on uploading, fortuitous ones in my particular case.

Well, sure -- it's fatal to say too much about intention and purpose, but I chose B&W, and very high-speed film, and a gray day, and an almost empty zoo, and made photos of the installations rather than the animals, to get the Stalag effect I wanted. As to the range of grays, I can only plead that rezzing down from 4000dpi to 72dpi, and from 16-bit to 8-bit pixels, loses a lot of the nuance in both highlights and dark areas; and the further compression enforced by Usefilm puts the sour cherry on top of that.

Gee.. wasted shot?
I thought the austerity of this actually creates a huge atmosphere...
That machine gun nest refernce really expresses the kind of flavour I thought she was trying to add though my brain had it more as a futuristic bunker type survivalist thing. Hard to put into words and actually embarassing to say it cause I don't actually trip out on photos to the extent I'm making it sound like.
Leslie, dig me out of the hole here.

Never realised Baboons were so agressive that they needed machine gun nests to control them ;-)

Seriously I think the range of light levels here has given you a little problem. The interior is just a touch over exposed whilst the far distance is overblown. Its difficult to get a good compromise in these situations without bracketing and using a range of settings. I guess thats where the digital cameras come in useful as theres no such thing as a wasted shot.

Regards

Keith

Just noticed what you mean with oversharpening. I assume you sample down yourself. Those rustic window frames are a feature here.
Strong work.
