Interesting to see, those fish are very expensive overhere too. So no one would have them accessable as these are in Japan. Very good photo, Roger, the exposure is really fantastic and the composition as well. Thanks for your comments to my Ducks and Swans. Regards, Rob.

very interesting photo.. well, don't think the fish would last long in the U.S. either :) like the overall feel of the photo, the pedestrians add to the composition.. nice work

George, I loved the humour in your "western take" on carp! (Also the title.) We may have a similar sense of the ridiculous... I found the 21mm lens a little hard to manage at first, but it's my favourite now. I have a 35mm and 50mm that give lovely results, but it's the 21mm my hand reaches for most of the time. The 50mm feels like a medium telephoto... [grin]

Roger, your choice of a lens is perfect for these street photos. They are quite revealing of people in the course of their daily lives. The attached photo is a western take on the care of koi.

They'd be gone in no time, Roger. Koi carp that size can fetch £100's!! Nice shot once again. Kind regards, Chris

LOL...we are always saying we are going to write a book called.. "ONLY in Idaho" lol..how funny... I find this very interesting...as I do with all your information I am learning so much really. My sons both would love to go to Japan they are very fond of manga and martial arts. I think they would be rather suprised at some of this history.

What can I say? I love this shot. The perspective and depth of field are right on and the colour looks great. And an added bonus, the expressions on the pedestrians are terrific. Great capture.
