This was taken at the famous Cliffs of Moher in Co. Clare, Ireland as the sun was setting. I'm happy with it even though I probably should have gotten detail in the cliffs themselves (see below!!) As I recall I had a polariser on the lens and was using it like a neutral density filter. I'm pretty sure I metered for the sky so as to minimize the burnout effect of the sun. In hindsight and having now read some people's methods I probably should have metered for the cliff faces, used a much slower shutter speed and placed a 0.9 ND grad filter over the skyline. But then again, maybe not!!! Criticisms and ideas would be greatly appreciated.
