About	The sacrificial offering, the so-called "Kavadi", symbolize the wagon on which the penitents accompany the god to the temple. they are fixed with sharp iron hooks piercing the skin of the penitents and are pulled by them in this way. More hooks pierce the skin, sometimes with limes or other fruits on them to weigh down. Note ( not sure if the spealling of kavadi is correct..if anyoen knows please tell me )

nuno, I think the background is a little distracting and the shadow of his face in his neck/chest takes out something from the photograph. but the musical instrument seems to be cutting him, as the other pins are...very interesting.

Interesting documentive shot, I would have used a shallower depth of field so that trumpet wasn't piercing his head like that. But these spur of the moment things are hard to do.
