John,IMO the photo is great specially regarding the subject. I agree that it is over-sharpened,it may depend from the scan or from the sharpening tool ....if it comes from the scansion and if you use Photoshop go to the filters - noise - median and set the treshold starting from 1 and see how it looks, then go to sharp -unsharp mask and sharpen some more,but just a tiny bit. Start from the Tiff image when you redo a photo,otherwise the JPG loses details every time you retouch it. Hope it helps.... Many congrats,Antonella

John ,I like the composition and the colors , but I think there is a little to much grain , could be from the scan
