The image fades almost to black in both bottom corners, the reeds in the foreground are just barely noticeable. It's really hard to adjust for tho, everybody's monitor is different.
Anyhoo, as for the image, it would be a cool landscape on its own, but the sihouetted child figure elevates it to another level. What an image of balanced contrast - the clouds look strange and myseterious to the point where we wonder if the child is safe, but his carefree spirit projects strength and comfort in his surroundings. It's almost teetering with this anxiety to the point of accepted serenity. At least that's how I see it, I don't know if this makes sense to anyone else. Stirring.

Such a nice feel to this photograph. Great colour saturation and exposure. Good composition too...I can only hope to be able to photography my daughter in this type of scene some day. Will be back to view some more. Wow...impressive collection.

Marty, On my monitor I can see detail to the bottom of the photo in the middle just below the boy and then it fades to solid black in either bottom corner. Regardless, I like this image. I find it well balanced and I'm not bothered by the darkness in the lower corners. I'd be proud to have this adorn my walls any day. I've been admiring all your posts, as you've put them up. In my humble opinion, I think you're a wonderful photographer; you learned well from your mentor. He'd be proud.

Marty, whatever this is supposed to look like, I really love this as I see it here. Dramatic colors and a carefree feel to the child in the foreground. Nice!
