You're right, it's three photos, each one on the other, and some play with layers, transparencies and colours in PS.

very interesting image, in film space i would expect it to be the result of sandwiching rather than a straight double exp. whatever you did, the result is remarkable.

A most interesting composition... with lots for the eye to view... as an engraving... it would be considered the the result of fine execution... as a photo... each layer must be in itself wonderful!
