I love this. It reminds me of a my Dads ranch he use to have. But I like it because of the tones and they are all in the right places.

as in "Dead End"?...think i've been there more than once...Rebecca,this is ART...you could have told me that this is a painting and i would say yes,and a very fine one!...i've used red filters to bring out the contrast of the sky before, but you have created some kind of a waaaaaaaaaaaay different tone here...only thing that bothers me is that dominant tree at end of road, but it was there so ya either PS it out,or not...reminds me also of those old pen & ink illustrations in old leather story books....good medicine, gayle

Excellent work, Rebecca. A wonderful b&w. Good use of the red filter. It really brought out the clouds.

Red filter works in this one Rebecca. Only suggestion for improvement I can give would be to move a little farther down the road to utilise more of the curve and take the road out of the centre of the shot. As I said before, I much prefer your B+Ws.

Wow, I really love the effect the filter gave this, not quite sepia, not quite infrared, kind of a muted sepia/B/W mix and the grass still has hints of green but darker, richer. Wonderful cloud textures and fantastic perspective to wonder what is over the hill. Nice work Rebecca and I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day ...Christine

Rebecca,
What a beautiful picture, wonderful shot.
So many things about this picture I like, the dirt road leading up to the tree, the old fence, the cloudy sky, the great tones, and light. Simply Beautiful!

I took a placement test and scored in the 98 percentile for non-linear thinking (go figure) and my mind said, "As great as this is...there might be another one just as good 'over' the top." Was there???

Excellent shot, Rebecca! The sky is wonderful in this, and I love the way the trees in the background are picking up the bits of sunlight playing across the field. The road adds a nice element of mystery as it disappears over the rise... Very nicely done!
