The cliff is a glacial, limestone remnant of the ice age ans was once a 300 foot tall waterfall. Now the water appears from the bottom of the clff, but it's still about 300 feet to fall if you slip!

Aye, I'm over in Morley, south of Leeds - about 40 minutes fom Knaresborough.
Was a mixed day yesterday - no sun to speak of, so wasn't getting burned out photos of the limestone, but a bit overcast so was trying to avoid a skyline on each shot. No point in a big chunk of grey after all.
Got about 180 of Janet's Foss, the Cove (top and bottom) and Gonredale Scar - busy photoshop night coming up!!
