Great B&W study you made here, tonal range is great, and the use of DOF is too. Perhaps putting the sharp area somewhere else on the leaf could've been better, since I have the idea that the eye has to go looking for the sharp area. When you would've made the first finger on the right the sharp area, I think that the attention would automatically be drawn there. Not sure though, just an idea, something to try out if you wish ;-)

Nice contrast. I love the negative shapes created by cropping in tight. Very visually interesting! Keep it up. i dissagree with the last two.. I think the DOF is just right.

Also a nice shot of a leaf. Actually for me the same goes as the previous leaf..I think it could have a little more dof. Not too much. just a touch..
