About After walking for about a mile over the cliff-top to the left of this frame, we came upon this little stream, running down over the shingle to the sea. It was running quite quickly and we just managed to cross it without getting our feet wet, before continuing a few hundred more yards up the beach. On the way back Carole had to take her socks and shoes off to paddle through the water, whilst I leapt from a rock across a 30 foot (okay, 6 foot) stretch of stream to keep my feet dry!!
P.S. That was just for Linn!

Chris, A nice landscape and scene. You know, I never quite had the nerve to ask about the skies in many of your photos. Some appear to be the same sky, not a generated sky, but a sky from another photo. If you want my opinion, I think sometimes this works, and sometimes it doesnt. Sometimes the clouds look as if they were taken with a different lens ie more telephoto.
So in a nutshell, my 2 cents, Sometimes it works, sometimes it looks a bit unnatural. In the above photo, your work on the levels is very good, bringing up the shadows, but it looks like it might have worked well with the cloudless sky, cropped down a bit. In any case, I always enjoy your visions of the uk.

Just for you, Linn, I'm going to edit my info and fill in the 'about' bit!!

Linn Currie   {K:24426} 5/20/2004
What? No "about" - that is part of my enjoyment when viewing your images! Tsk, tsk ...

Great image Chris ... like how you changed the sky and even added the cloud reflection on the water.

You are a master at PS - it enhances your images so much - look how much clearer the fence is.

Amasing shot, Chris, Beautiful composition, and a lovely level of saturation. Although the background looks a bit soft, it hardly an important issue, though. Great colours, and a perfect capture.

Cheers,

Hugo
