About This is the first in a series of shots taken while on my recent road trip with my graf artist son...he showed me a different side of Portland,Oregon...i changed this to B&W..the dark foreground is a rugged cement barrier which i wasn't tall enough to clear from my shot and cloning it out,or cropping it out would have destroyed too much of the shot..comments appreciated & it is great to be back!

Fab image, Gayle - Strange and extraterrestrial somehow - reminds me, also, of Kevin C's image of skateboard ramps - the inky/sooty lower part works wery well - Hansi

This one is really good. The shadows are great for this abstract B&W shot of the skate park...

wonderful composing, very abstract landscape, gayle! I like the powerful horizontal format, creates a cinemascopic feeling. tonal range and depth is really awesome. good one! cheers, thilo

Gayle, i prefer this one! It is much tighter and mouch stronger because of the B&W. Looks like it has been cut out by water, a glacier for example. You have a good eye for a picture! Best regards, Neil

Now this is fascinating. A surreal walkway, great 3D quality. Fantastic contrasts and rugged texture. I love the arrow pointing to a seemingly tunnel of light. Really cool image.
