Thanks, Nick. Yes, I did feel a little under attack. The focal length of the shot was about 25mm and it wasn't cropped; so these guys were right on top of me!

but this one is wonderful George! This must be the first shot of formation flying seagulls. Sharp, well composed, nice blue sky and the bird in the centre right top looks like he has his eye on you

Thanks, Pankaj. I was just trying out the brand-new wide-zoom lens while walking on the beach. The gulls just gathered around all at once. I think they must have thought I was going to feed them. Anyway, I started shooting as fast as I could and hoped for the best. This is one of several that I like. It made a very effective 13x19 print!
BTW--I find your pictures very good and very interesting--both in content and photographic form. Keep up the good work! --g

Excellent composition and lighting. The BIP is well deserved! Looks like some risk may have been involved in getting this one - hope you had a filter on the lens just in case!

Fabulas shot Wich canon would solve sensor spots due to dust on it. Look at the right bottom under the wing. Maybe you dont notice it,but i had the problem with my 300D and is now in repair for over a month. The spots become visible at f8 or higher number. Especialy when shooting blue sky. Now this one you can easely cloon out with ps. Guido
