Thanks, Nick. Yes, I did feel a little under attack. The focal length of the shot was about 25mm and it wasn't cropped; so these guys were right on top of me!

Thanks, Pankaj. I was just trying out the brand-new wide-zoom lens while walking on the beach. The gulls just gathered around all at once. I think they must have thought I was going to feed them. Anyway, I started shooting as fast as I could and hoped for the best. This is one of several that I like. It made a very effective 13x19 print!
BTW--I find your pictures very good and very interesting--both in content and photographic form. Keep up the good work! --g

Fabulas shot
Wich canon would solve sensor spots due to dust on it.
Look at the right bottom under the wing.
Maybe you dont notice it,but i had the problem with my 300D and is now in repair for over a month.
The spots become visible at f8 or higher number.
Especialy when shooting blue sky.
Now this one you can easely cloon out with ps.
