About
If your on "Golden Street" high up in the Castle district of Hradcany you are sure to go to the Frans Kafka Museum. It's a tiny medieval house nestled between a few others which actually form part of the very castle's walls.
I've never actually been inside it, as it's been either too early in the morning or during the day there can been discovered a long queue, and often school groups, at the door. The former home of Prague's best known son has been visited, it is sure, by all the sons and daughters of Prague. In an unintentional ready-made artist installation the wall of one of the nieghbouring shops (former house) has become a wonderful scrawling of people's names and messeges. I'm sure that the shop's owners paint it over every month, but it's always there and will certainly stay as long as the sons and daughters of Prague come to visit the former home of their city's best known son.
This is grouse, Sean, flaming so. That inset is intersting. I wonder what people will make of that. Has it been drawn over/spilt on? It's slightly Paul Klee, slightly pink panther, slightly chinese military. Great how a filter, be it spit, scratches on aged perspex, or varnish on oils can oinvite the imagination. Great find man.
