She left her boudoir... tip toed down the hall of Lord Devonshire's manor house... hesitated to knock... and simply turned the knob... and in the dim light saw her love... but entwined with another... only to leave with a slamming door behind her... the tears fell to the stone floor and echoed like the so many crystals from the chandelier in the breeze ...

Still expressive but a less complex and more direct use of the figure. The figure "reads" as if in and part of the texture. Minimal...reductive? Good, Ana!
