Regarding your comment on the lily pads, in order to get all three focus elements in the photo (the lily pads, the rock outcropping and the mountains) to line up the way I wanted, I actually had to lay down on the ground to take the picture. But it is a good point and I will keep your comment in mind the next time I am shooting a floating subject.
As for your desire to see more work on the rock outcropping, please refer to my pictures entitled: "Through the trees", "Medieval Reflection" and "Hilltop Retreat".
Hello, Edward. I agree with John. Black and white would be nice. My one issue with this picture is the lilly pads in the foreground. if only you had been 10 feet in the air when you took this. The lilly pads are shot so side-on that it takes a moment to realize what they are.
I would also love to see more work done on that rock outcropping in the mid-ground.
