This picture is a small file copy from a series of post card sized one off photo-collage, no two were the same and about one third are no longer in my collection. They were original art works sold at a pittence - a few dollars each. Its Photo-combination and collage. The cafe was once my favorite haunt for years - The Black Cat Cafe in Melbourne's Fitzroy, sadly gone. The other image was of a Somalian woman and her son. For some odd reason she appears like a Latin American black Madonna, if you use your imagination that is! The letter was one sent to me about three years ago by the writer Patrick Leigh Fermor encouraging me on doing a proposed Walk Across Europe. In two weeks time I leave Korea where I have been teaching English, couldn't get the money for my proposed Walk Through Europe Trek from selling photographs. I will be commencing the walk it's self in September where I will walk partially from Turkey to Spain.
I like this collage too. Walking through Europe??? Why not take a detour to the Netherlands, much easier country to walk through, being flat as a cookie that is. (ha ha) You're welcome any time.
