About These flowers are just blooming and Butterflys really enjoy the blooms. This photo taken 50 feet from Lake Superior on just off of the Stoney Point Road. This Road is on my way to work and I check it out each day.

Oh what a fantastic combination of colours! The butterfly is beautiful and so sharp, and the red flowers in background adds so much extra beauty!

Personally I totally disagree with that background should be b&w. The vivid green and red is really VERY beautiful for me! And then the yeloowish butterfly on top of that is GREAT!

Great saturated colors, but as much as I like them they distract focus from the butterfly. The green is a little overwhelming. I like the use of shallow depth of field. That works very well here. I might also recommend positioning your subject off center next time around. The butterfly is just about perfectly centered in your image. I have a feeling this image would be an excellent color seperation project in PS. Keeping the butterfly in color and the desaturating the background to B&W would look pretty sharp. Just a thought...
