Little bit about this photo, It was taken at a camera club meeting dealing with lighting and setting up still lifes, no one remembered to bring lighting equipment, so I rigged up the slide projector, and reflected it off of a white piece of styrofoam for the lighting, thus the long exposure, and loseing the candle..
Marty, only bringing this up to say this and Mary Sue's pictures have such "CLASS". I'm amazed. As for the shiny glass errrr....That most definetly could be a difficult subject to approach. I'm outa here on that part of it..Just wanted you all to know these do have 'CLASS.
The composition of this is perfect Marty, very strong. Considering the lights you had to work with on this, it is very impressive. You ought to set this up again at home and shoot again with better lighting. However, you couldn't improve on the composition. You have a fantastic eye for this!
shows up much better sans the extra compression in the live format...very warm and inviting as I said last night....Shut up Mary I see the damn gouda and now you aint getting any......nice glow on the grapes Marty..kind of a sexy food display I like the way you handled it and improvised....
A beautiful image made even better by a wonderful title. Someone point out the Gouda to Artie!
Seriously, Marty, this is so nice. The details that seemed to get lost when shown in Live show up here much better, including the glass against the dark background. Great job, imaginative lighting! Next time I pour a glass of red I'll load up this image.
E L E G A N T....classy Mora....Love the reflections off the glass. I'm ready to go home, crank down the AC, light the fire, spin some R. Kelly, call up the lady....eat, drink, and be merry!
