Caught this heron feeding in a sea of duck weed at Lake Martin, Louisiana last week. This is a full frame image. ISO-200, 1/180th second @ f/13. Morning light with fill flash @ -1.7ev. Flash was a Nikon SB80DX with Better Beamer. Shot from my truck with window mount and ball haed. NEF Raw file, post processing: USM and Levels only.
Man I am mesmerize with your pictures. This green heron is the best shot that I have seen for this species. It looks like tri-D Wonderful contrast and dof. Congratulations again and again. Thank you very much for sharing. Yamil

Seriously though - yet another sharp and excellent image from you. Fabulous sharp focus on the heron, full marks for the DOF. The colours and tones on the feathers are stunning. Do you pay these creatures to pose so perfectly for you?
