I find this image rather beautiful. It's one of those shots that I can lose myself in. I love the overall darkness-the "sound of silence" that can be felt, even down to the blades of grass that almost seem painted. While it seems dark-it has a tranquil feel to it. Love the blue gray in the sky. I love it!

That is the same situation here. lots of people from the States think it is cheap here so they build and come only a week a year some times.....GRRRR.....It's not the Americans fault its that their dollar is worth more then ours so the land seems a good buy. Humans are so wasteful..i'm no different in some ways, I just wish we had a little more collective wisdom... but maybe in the next life. :0(

Great mood Tim,you have some great landscape images.Yes I agree with you of the diminishing wild places,we have a real problem here in NZ.All our beautiful coastal sites are being grabbed up by rich absentee owners, they build great big houses and only live in them for a holiday a year.Soon there will only be houses and no wildlife. Regards Micky.

thank you Linn, your comment is very much appreciated. I think that landscape is not one of the styles of imagery that gets much interest in the photography circles as it is too common. But I don't care, I do it because it's diminishing so fast and I have a deep interest in the wilder part of our planet before there is none. Good thing I live in Canada and there is still plenty to be had. This isn't a judgment it's just an observation of the world and the direction we are going.

it reminds me the move "the day after tomorrow" when this very cold clouds just appeared somewhere in the USE (and in UK before) and froze everything (or almost everything except our heroes and some other people) to death; just an impression
