My friend Subhash Sen (UFC photog 24529) may be of help in identifying this exact species from his hometown's airport. I love Ficus species period! Bonsai's or in the wild (I uploaded a Banyan tree, F. bengalensis previously). Figs have been an important food source for man from time immemorial, both fresh and dried. But, while I thought Figs have positive references in ancient and modern cultures, I stumbled on some interesting reading material on the web. I was totally unaware of this biblical reference.
