At a recent parade, July 4th Parade here in the US, I had a tough time capturing the facial expressions of those around me while still capturing the event. When I turned to my left I saw a couple enjoying the parade and noticed the reflection in her glasses from where I stood. I only had a couple seconds to snap a photo before they continued their conversation resulting in her head turning. This isn't the exact framing I was aiming for but it came very close. I opted to convert this to black and white and colorize the reflection in her glasses to really emphasize what I wanted people to get out of this image... to know what the person was reacting to. I hope I was successful. The very large original file reveals a lot of detail in the scene reflected in her glasses. The image size restrictions work against me here, but hopefully you'll be able to see enough of the scene.
Excellent capture, brilliant idea and shot. like the idea of the b/w / colour. I was going to get a shot of my grandaughter reflected in her Mum sunglasses, but she broke them. Margaret
