About This big guy kept landing on the ground at the park the other day, then the dog would chase him. I never got close for a macro, so this is taken at almost full zoom. Vignetted and framed in PS

Christine, the hands are not always that steady! I had about 6 or 7 shots from chasing him around on the ground. This was the best lol.. However, to do some of the venipunctures etc, I do have to have steady hands lol

Wow, fantastic detail and sharpness for full zoom and no tripod. Beautiful capture Rebecca. (can I borrow those steady hands of yours? :-)

This is amazingly sharp given that you had to zoom so far to get it - you must have very steady hands! I like the subdued colors that show the softness of the butterfly's wings, but I think the green of the border is a little intense and kind of contradicts that softness.

The oval frame sort of gives the impression you were syping on him through some sort of telescope - which of course you were. Amazing detail.

Nice catch, Rebecca. It's looks like a macro, even with the lens not set to macro. You caught a lot of details on this lovely butterfly.
