Actually this is a hand-held shot. And of course there are many many blurred shots too, especially when I first got the D70! But I try to be as steady as possible and brace myself and the camera by leaning on something solid whenever possible... and some luck. And practice, with digital & this awesome machine you can take lots & lots of shots very fast w/o having to worry about film! :)

Lovely close-up, the colours and the feather plumes come out nicely and the background is blurred so there is no distraction. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent shot! Very nice indeed. I have been trying to capture a shot as sharp as this with my D70. Even with a tripod I still get blur. How do you do it?
