About About Salah-Al-Din, the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali, located on the Al-Qalaa --- the Citadel ---- built in AD 1183.

This is the "Qubah" --- meaning the round ceiling or dome of the Saladin Mosque, as i learned with my good Friend Saeed ---- where a huge luster is hanged, so You can get a feeling of visiting the place...
The Arabic signs are The Prophet's words and Al-Coran suras (prayers).

Image was scanned from the 10x15 photo using a ViewStation AS6E Artec flatbed.

Dedicated to FERDINANDO MONDINO who has an outstanding work!

WOW... mind reading, Steve!!!
yes, this is what happened to me!
i took a few shots b4 entering the Citadel and some more in the atrium... when i got inside the Mosque all i could manage were a few more photographs and then... CAPUT!
Battery loss... glad not memory loss! lol
i can still picture the rich and sumptuous gold leaf ceiling and try to remember the prayers written on the walls and roof in that place of worship...
sooo different from everything i have ever visited!
some peace could be felt...
i was asked to get "dressed" to get inside the Temple, so i was asked; they don't seem to find bermudas appropriate, i suppose... *wink*

Glad that You are enjoying the Series, my Friend!

Ahhh........... my compliments on the outstading work with the ZebraS at Flamingo Land Theme Park, BirthDay Boy!!!

my Best,
Regi
