i think this is a great picture - colors, composition - the works. in the beginning i too thought that a little dodging would have "brought out" the people in the windows but i think that if you wanted us to see them you would have done it already. I don't mind the "hints" that you let us see instead - I think they add an element of mystery to the shot. I particularly like the figure in the upper right window - looks like detail from a flemish baroque painting - nice touch i think - whether it was intentional or not. d

This is a really good idea with the formal composition against the loosely organized people in the windows. Just needs a bit more illumination on the people.

Nesta vc passou a ponte e foi até à ?minha? Ribeira e conseguiu este instantaneo fabuloso. Se vc soubesse trabalhar com o Photodhop teria dado um toque de luminosidade e tudo ficaria mais-que-perfeito!

First.......I like this image. I like everything you did here. But I'm actually more impressed with your idea....... windows with people in them as a metaphor. What is the figure top/right [is it a figure?....it seems to be, which is all that matters]......anyhow, what is he doing? Staring into the sun? Is it rising on the last day of his life? Is his room the prison of his soul? And the others.......in the same building but in a different world? I started to work with this idea last year........posted one picture [without figures in the windows] and gave up. I hope you go forward with this......and in color!!

i also think it's a wonderful shot. if the photographer wanted to illuminate the people without washing out the shadows on the wall then a little dodging should do the job ;-)

I think this is a wonderful shot, I love the people - I think the overall idea is good but -
bear with me -
I wish that the rooms/ people had more light - I know that the shadow casts the darkness and the contrast to the sunny spot is presumed to be too much -
so if you increased the light in the shadow areas I am sure you would lose the detail in the hot spots -
I just wish I could see some more of the people in the windows to the left.
