I look forward to seeing more variations. Thanks for the picture of the day vote as well. A first for me.

Thanks for the critique Jim. I agree with everything you said. My goal here was to put the tack sharp emphasis on her belly, seeing as the baby is the star here in my eyes. Perhaps it didn't come across the way I had expected. I shall indeed try again, maybe from a different angle.
Thank you again Jim

I do like this in B&W and as mentioned I too think her face is a little too shaded. Her face also seems to be softly focused.

After seeing the color version I think that too works, but it depends what your goals are and where you want the focus of your viewer to reside. I get more out of the skin tones in color and the surrounding color provides background. In B&W (as you'd expect) texture is more of a core focus. I think the B&W also provides a sense of nostalgia to the image. It matches her glance downward ... at least to me.

Darren - After seeing the color, yes it looks "ok" in b&w. Personally though, I like the color on this one. With the grey-blue wall and white blinds and white wrap, she still looks like a partial b&w. I think that in the color one she really does seem to glow!

Her skin looks absolutely flawless (and for as pregnant as she is, that is very unique). I like the extra detail I can see in her face with the color. You did a great job capturing a realistic color with the light too! She looks so soft and warm. Really a wonderful portrait. You have produced so many wonderful portraits of this family, I hope they realize your masterful touch.

Thank you Sara for the critique. It is much appreciated! The fabric used is sheer cloth from a fabric store, folded several times and wrappped around her, held up by hair clips in the back. I have attached the original color to see what you think. Thanks again!

Darren, I looks fine in b&w, but her head is kind of dark. I'm not sure if that was intentional or not. Would you mind attaching the color version below?

I like her wrap (I keep meaning to ask you what you use and how you tie/attach it), but it might have looked a smidge better to have her turned more toward the camera so we can't see around the side/back of her, but that's just my opinion, others might love it.
