Ok then, a couple of Wisconsin boys, ya that big water keeps the lid on tight, sorry to hear about your trees changing so soon, as we get older that seems to happen quicker. My brother was from Madison area, now Ripon. Well you are heading west at just about the right time. I would love to take a spring trip to the west to see the brief flower bloom there. here is the scoop, born in Superior Wi. Now live in Duluth across the Bay from where I was born. Have a Son and his wife in Stoughton WI, SE of Madison 15 miles. and a Son going to UWS Stevens Point. So you must be below Milwaukie and not to Chicago. Some weather there as we have, Next to a big body of water. Trees are starting to change here and we haven't even had summer to my notion !!
Well carry on, we'll chat again. and keep those beautiful flower posts coming. I am 1 month from heading out west and then I'll be posting from the road, kinda like Charles Karault ;-)

Hi Jim, thanks for the wonderful comments. I spent lots of time growing flowers this year and saw how they responded to care. Working from home, I had the opportunity to water and mist frequently. The water drops are an important part of my plant care, they really do respond in kind, so it is also important for me to incorporate that in the pictures. I am in the southeastern corner of Wisconsin, about 5 blocks from Lake Michigan, takes a long time to warm up in the spring. Aren't you from the Bay area? I think our weather is very much the same. Only difference is we only get 3 months of really good weather, talk to you soon, Cary

Jim thanks for your comments and compliments, I appreciate both. Yes, the focus on this one should be shifted rearward. However, That was the intention. Trying to perfect this low light style and focus is very elusive, but promise to alleviate that situation in the next few posts (hopefully!) Cary

Great color! Your composition seems to compliment the stamen best, yet your focus is on the droplet on the edge of the image. If the stamen were sharp I think this would be even stronger.
