I was more north or east, in the 1.000 islands. Then, in Quebecq (is this the spelling? ) I was, again, near the famous river.By the way of rivers, already been in Rio Negro (Black River) the other inicial branch of Amazonas? I was there and spend some days "in" the jungle, yes, sleeping and living in.Awesome, unique experience !

Yes, Jorge you correct it is up there...the area I grew up in, is the part of the river that runs between Canada and NY State...just to the north of the mouth of Lake Ontario. As a child I remember it as a quiet, peaceful river, with canoes, kayaks and large ocean liners...now it is the playground for fast boats, ski jets, large yachts...busy, busy, busy....Gloria

It is a great shot in colors indeed but tell you the truth I find the B&W version more dramatic. Both are excellent though. Cheers Gloria.

Very nice picture Gloria. Your Nikon D70 and Nikon lens (with your help of course) are serving you well. The pictures have great sharpness and colour. You frame your pictures well. Keep up the great work. Like your pictures. Regards. Arthur

There is so much to look at in this scene Gloria from the cute quaint building on the right, the curved stone staircase and wonderful rocks with a tall tree front and center. The water which forms a natural frame into the photo has a great texture and is a lovely shade of blue. Everything is tack sharp, crisp clean colours. A beautiful setting.

One of the most interesting things about this site is the display of different tastes and opinions. I cannot, in spite of my best efforts, see how this can possibly be improved by removing the color. The soft rich browns and greens just scream summer, and you can just smell the blue-green water. I could go on and on. But I'll just vote for the colored version.
