Debbie, you do not need to feel tentative about your photography. You have learned a lot faster than many of us newbies, and it shows in this lovely image. I like Detlef's idea about adding bits and pieces of colors...maybe using PS to hand color the flowers?

I like this Debbie, very old feeling with it. What was the film you used? Interesting.

Double ditto, Debbie. Very well done indeed, from thinking about experimenting, seeing the image and capturing it, and then letting the creative juices flow to come up with this result. I'm very impressed. Did you read my B/W in P/Shop article, as there's a lot of potential in the method I describe that you might like. But remember, you've got to capture a good and interesting image on film first - just as you've done here. Well done.

Hi Debbie, To my untutored eye, this is well balanced and there is some texture in the planking on the side of the barrow. This appears to be a very contrasty image and I think you have made it work. It has a 'classic' feel about the picture. 10/10 for imagination and creative thinking.. now why didn't I think of doing that. Yeah! well done.
p.s. thanks for the lovely comment about me rose, its very encouraging
