Hi Verena, Like it wonderfull job! At first look i was thinking how it looked if the part (down under the rock, it looks like a roof to me) was removed bij processing it, i now am convinced that it belongs in the picture. At this moment am i seeing a fish whit its mouth open floting trough the sky like its eating it....

This is an image you could drown in..... The suggestion of movement draws you into the picture and doesn't let go ... It's like magic and your choice of angle must be responsible for it, but the unique scenery is also a reasonable a good suspect too:))

The title is very appropriate... for such fine stone texture and cuts are as transparent or translucent as diaphanous tulle...
It is clear that curious objects belonging to nature and man... catch your eye... and you have an ability to present then for us lesser beings!

the face; is the big dark dot the nose?
mmmhhh, as it stands in Assisi it must be the face of holy Franz ;)

this would be the very first diaphanous rock i've seen :-) unusual vison - it all hangs together for me. i see a face in the rock.

I like the connection between the foreground and the background; the balance between the "colors" is excellent - they combines each other in lovely way; the composition and the foreground is very intriguing -it forces to stop and think for a moment; well done regards Lukasz

Dear Hugo,
when I read your comment I remember another shot I did in Helsinki were you added a similiar comment, I would say here it is less close to 45 degrees, but I will check next time if a different tilt works out in a better way.
Thanks for your suggestion.
Cheers, Verena

Dear Verna, Very interesting shot, the clowds showing throgh the saw lines in the rock. I find the tilt a bit too close to 45 degrees. That is one of the few angles that carry the same efffect of a horizon or vertial line, it's risky in it's use, as it may end up in a static image. Other than that, a beautiful shot, very well composed and the see through rock adds a very strong element in this shot.
Cheers,
Hugo
