Cheers for the comment - I couldn't resist this when I was making a salad and found the radish sprouting.
The photos taken in a wooden bureau with one of those dinky Ikea halogen lights above it - and yes, no flash. I found that you'd get nasty reflections from the 300D's flash otherwise.
Those lamps are pretty useful, about £5 each and can be set to just about any angle, so for anyone without a studio or budget, it's a great way to experiment. I've got about 150 from this session - veg, food processor attachemnts, salt sellers....
