Carlos,
Great image. Even though the star trails are not very bright I really like the effect of seeing the foreground really well exposed with the stars just visible in the sky! Perhaps you could try cropping that palm leaf off the bottom and making some levels adjustments in PS to make the trails stand out a little more.

I noticed the red dots in the night sky as well. I think these are what is called hot pixels. I've read there is software that helps to get rid of these and that some cameras have a setting that takes a dark frame immediately after the actual fram and then subtracts the red dots in camera. I don't have much experience in this area, but perhaps someone else on Usefilm will be able to help more.
