Sunny winter day, bright backlit colors, some overexposure to saturate even more the colors (use this for negative film only). I find the colors amazing, they captured my attention immediately as we were walking to this shopping. The camera's built-in zoom was at full - 105mm. A little less sky would've been better but the sky on the sides would've been reduced too and I like the way it is framing the banners. Under the banners wasn't interesting to be framed so I kept a bit more of the sky on top.
You're right. This is a crop from the original image, which has more sky and trees/bushes. And when enlarging from a smaller area grains get bigger and generate these textures that are a mix of noise and grain.
