I really like this, the little guy contrasted to the industrial wind generators in the background. Yes, it's too bad it couldn't be sharper, but this was an image that begged to be made!

Teunis:

Shooting one of these in the wild is no easy catch. This is quite well done considering the challenge.
I had a similar experience on our last trip. I just saw it from of hotel, and shot it at about 150 yards with my Sigma 38-300mm. There are such beautiful creatures.

I know I like to have more range on my camera also. I guess I need a new one but that will be awhile. I do like this image. Nice capture.

Great Image Teunis. How did you ever get him to hold still? Where was it taken? Looks like some kind of a wind power plant. We have similar here in the Palm Springs area.

Am a little dissapointed at you Dutch people, Fancy replacing those beautiful photogenic windmills with these ugly generator things that I can see in the distance. Only a serious joke Teunis.

That is a great capture. You have to be quick sometimes to get these pictures. I see you have a lot of wind generators in the background. Don.

Wonderful photo, Teunis! The deer's head looks almost out-of-place popping up like that in the middle of the field! :) It might look good also with a little more contrast. You captured a great moment!
