Kristina,
Thanks a lot for visiting my photos from Sighisoara and for you very kind comments.
About believing in Dracula ... he, he... no. He is only Bram Stoker's invention but the whole story is based on very strong believes, legends and myths from Transylvania. Even our days, romanian villages have a very middle age way of life. Sad but true. Accordingly, people have very strong believes in sorcery, white and blacj magic, all sort of night creatures, living deads etc. Even christian priests and friars are very often involved in pagan rituals. I guess these are the reasons why Bram Stoker put his story in Transylvania. We have to admit that many incredible and unexplained things happend, beyound our capacity of understanding, so some of these legeneds may have true basis.
The confusion is the teory that Stoker's model was Vlad the Empalor, because he vas a regnant from Valachia, on the southern side of the Carpathians and he had very few to do with Transylvania - of course, political and economical relations.
Anyway, for commercial and touristical purposes, Dracula's legend may be a golden mine if well exploited. But be aware, that Dracula is not a local legend and character, he is completely invented by Stoker, influenced by the very strong mysticism of the local people.
Kisses and kind regards,
Florin

Dracula... hehe... you believe in them? ;-) I have read that it was about a desease, people really did go pale from that desease, and lips etc shrank so teeth looked bigger. And other people were so scared of them so they started making up rumours about that they were vampires and that's how it all started. Well... who knows.
A beautiful and well composed photo, looks great! I envy you who have walk around on places like this, so photogenic, and I bet the mood was really mystical!

Thanks, dear Antonella. I keep on learning. And that fabulous citadel of Sighisoara offers you so many wonders, you can spend hours at each corner shooting and shooting. Unfortunately, in the family's holiday budget, my hobby is last on the list :) So, just few films, one subject/one shot. It's painfull to miss :)
Kisses,
Florin

:) Thanks a lot for your comment. Indeed it is a place worth to be visited. It is the only inhabited citadel from Transylvania and you can find at each corner a lot of beauty.
The girl was not bored, she was looking at a boomerangs seller throwing his boomerangs, but she was too shy to approach :)
Kind Regards,
Florin

Well Stephen, the house is "secured" now. It has a great restaurant, a beerhouse, a cute terrace... it's a wonderful place to stay, a little bit expensive for average romanian salaries.
Regards,
Florin
