I see much of the same story as many of the other commenters. "I'm here; I'm ready to start this journey I've been brought into; won't you walk along side of me for just a little while as I get myself steadied? Show me where to walk; I want to learn to run. Cherish my tiny perfect purity now; it is a fleeting miracle."

Perhaps you've hit it, Dina. I look at my hands and I "see" all that those hands have done. I look at my feet and "see" all the miles they have walked, all the places they've been. Where will these little toes take their owner ? Will this foot take its owner to the same places I've been ?

Artfully done . . . catches a beautiful light, and a wonderful sense of immediacy . . .

I too get the mystery! This is an amazing shot that showcases the miracle of birth...LOVE the composition...that little leg and foot all alone in the air---seems to say "I'm here!"!

I understand the mystery.... untouched souls that have entered this big beautiful world. This shot is priceless and cherished.

Creative composition. I have never fully understood the mystery of why adults are always so fascinated by a newborn's hands and feet, but I do fully appreciate its emotional impact.
