I agree that the greenery in front and the frame do not help this image and detract from the message. That bleak little bit of landscape wiht the throwaway Mall School of Architecture building going up behind speak loudly. Where have all the forests gone indeed ... :-[

amazing how much stuff we all consume now -- I am with you I juts don't understand it -- there are 4 starbucks coffee shops within a couple block radius near where I live and about 20 oil change places -- oh, the insanity of all this stuff... when we were young there just was not all that much stuff to buy...now it's endless ..K

Aah yes! more shops but more jobs. More jobs, more people, more people, more shops needed, and on and on it goes. I agree about the framing. The bright green just doesn't fit. Just the black border would be a better fit the commentary. Jimmy

If you saw my waist line you would understand the need for more fast food just to maintain it, but as to your photo, It does make a statement with poor little trees and the construction. A nice sharp photo.

Nice shot and documentary. I personally, do not thing the frame helps in this image, but distracts from what you're trying to say. Just my opinion and personal taste though.
