This is one awesome image! I can't imagine why the rating is so low for this! This image as Jim said is very much fit for publication! Keep up the good work! :)

Such sharpdetails and great colours. I envy you a little Peter. I have not succeeded in capturing a butterfly.... but I keep on trying and hope I will have at much as succes a you did! Great softness in the background too.

Diana.

This may be your first, but I'm sure it won't be your last. Butterflies are very difficult to capture and your photo is very impressive. Absolutely lovely. -- Debby

Thank you for your response Margaret ..
I am into nature, but not in a close-up or macro way up till now.. i bought myself a canon 500D close-up lens for my 70-200 lens (the one this butterfly was shot with).. but one month ago my 300D broke down, still in repair now .. so i think more macro-experiments will be for next year .. regards, Peter

Dear Pete, thanks for your brilliant comment on my Opera house shot. I would follow your advice and go reshoot but I have an apartment in Paris(7th) that needs tending to (so I must go there instead along with a month long trip Paris-Sri Lanka-South India-Maldives-Paris).I spend a lot of time there since France is my fav European country. Belgium eh? Love Bruges (spelling?)go there everytime on the way to Amsterdam. Nice butterfly shot BTW.
