this picture as a 'hitchcockian' atmosphere of suspense... one expects the door to be kicked in any moment. wonderful that a picture can stimulate the imagination like that

I prefer this version, it looks more subtle and with a better atmosphere. Seems like i'm looking at the door wondering if i should dare or not, and seeking the safety of the wall.... Very good.

hmmmm...komisch jetzt hab ich auch lange gegrübelt und solange ich bei der vorschau war hätte ich auch gesagt diese version...aber jetzt hier und je länger ich es betrachte, wechsele ich doch lieber wieder (als alter landschaftsfotograf) zur landscape-version (ein sehr kreativer einfall übrigens diese bezeichnungen)...obwohl hier wiederum so eine gewisse unheimliche stimmung bezüglich der tür und der enge des gangs herüber kommt....herrje, jetzt weiß ich gar nicht mehr recht....sachen machst du....

Hi Verona, difficould question..like the 2 of them but i think the one most to my taste is the first. Also in second thought (to my previous comment) do i like the wall as it is (without my crop).

I like this better. It does conform to "the rules" more than the other (not necessarily a good thing), but ultimately it is more balanced than the landscape version. It would be nice to see what focus on the door looks like.
