Venice,Italy - in my opinion,is one of the 2 most beautiful cities in Europe (the other being Paris). It's ALWAYS crowded but if you want to catch it at it's least crowded (and most moody) the dead of winter, except for Mardi Gras, is the time to go. The area in the shot is very close to the entrance to St. Mark's Square(Piazza San Marco)and also the main area for taking a gondola ride (was talked into doing it ONCE, years ago - with a big group we rounded up. If you do it with only one other person make sure you've just visited the cash machine - ATM - before hand). A beautiful place I never get tired of! No PS used.
Mark, I agree it's amazing city. Another time when it's not croudy is at 4 a.m. - I spent night walking on streets there. Unforgetable night. Beautiful blue image. I'le be using Provia 100 in situation like this because of excelent blue-magenta colors it's producing. Did you try digital cameras already? D20 could be tool you will love, because of instant results, detail quality, low noise(grain like trouble of cheep digicams) but also abbility to use lenses you have already.

Nice view and atmosphere daer Mark! Kisses, Biliana
This is just beautiful, I love it! Love the color tone and the soft, misty feel to it. Sky is captured wonderfully.
Love the texture and highlighted bricks here and there on the walkway, the couple walking in the distance...and especially the three lights on the pier...is that a pier? (not sure)
And of course, the lamp post with three lanturns. ...then there are those nice domes that are WAY in the distance...at first glance this is such a simple image, but there sure is a lot to see!!
