I don't know if I will call this one like that. The feeling that I have is the meeting, the share and the end... perhaps a dramatic view.. but the last picture gives me the feeling of a detachment. But this is MHO.. Anyway, this is another very expressive composition as i like. Cheers Mary Fabrice

I look at this and a story forms in my head. I'm sure it's different for everybody. My ending is not a happy one, I think it has to do with that third frame. Nice work Mary.

Mary, read back. I didn't ask you for an interpretation. I was pointing out what you verified in your comment.
See you later.

Jose thank you for your kind words and large comment! I love large comments! Communication addict!! Greece is great , I have 8 films from the Olympics, not ime to scan them and then a scanner out of order!! Grr!!I will upload the images soon I guess...Sorry for the letter I have been writing to you for months and still have not sent...I can be terrible with Time sometimes...I will send you the manifesto and part of the poetic collection, i promise!! Every person gives his own explanation to this image, this amazes me! That was the purpose! Try to find some rest from all the things you tell me you do! After all work is sometimes only money! If you want to take pictures you will have them, even when you are in your house! Photography is not always an official, typical situation! A kiss!

Michael thank you for your good words, believe me you make me blush! I am a simple person, despite my writing and distorting-images tendency. Every piece of advice, if it is honest and has no evil intentions, can help me. We, humans, cannot actually talk about ourselves or compare ourselves with others, as it is a trick of the mind (the way our brain works) to make assumptions having the Self/The Ego/The Personality as a metre of comparison. These assumptions are totally different for everyone,as everyone has another means of comparison, so they cannot be objective! To put it simply, thank you my friend!! A kiss! I also like your work, I "travel" with some photos of yours!

I do not actually want to give an interpretation, I just wanted lead the viewer somehow into forming a personal idea. Is the middle picture a rape, as Fabio said, an intense sexual act? Etc Etc And is the man or the woman leaving? What is the black shadow? I could only tell you what it looks to me, but I changed my mind.... It is interesting for each one to find his/her own interpretation as it reveals personal attitudes.

This is more of a compliment than a critique. I love the image; I like the sepia type colors that invoke distress and despondency as well as doing the triple image to tell the story. I looked through your portfolio and you are quite the artist! Most of the images I don?t fully understand without reading the comments from people more educated on art than I am. I?m just really impressed, it?s not just photography (technically) it?s art, visual poetry. You have a talent that is above most peoples comprehension. You have a really impressive portfolio. I?m glad I got the opportunity to see your work. I?m not really qualified to critique you?re the rest of work though, Your just too far above where I?m at right now to give you any useful suggestions or comments. Thank you ~Mike

Hi Mary,
it's been a long time! I missed your images and comments, believe me.
Hope you've had a nice time out although the olympic spirit must be quite unique as an opportunity to share and meet people from all over the world. My sister once went to Greece and it certainly is on my list. What's not is time and money... But that's another story ;-)
I was glad to be included on your friends list as I value your comments very much and appreciate the way you write and expose ideas and concepts. Both thru words and images, as with this one.
When I saw the thumbnail I could say it was yours. For the colors, the long exposure, the concept. I see two becoming one - is it? Very beautiful, the tones fit perfectly.
And thanks for the comment on the no light box image. Nice it touched you. I don't know if you believe it but I'm still VERY busy. I work on an advertising agency that has Latin America's biggest wholesale account and we're preparing everything for christmas now. You can't imagine what this means. Woof!
I haven't got any time left to shoot, create images, develop an essay or else. And I miss this very much. I'm still waiting for your manifesto... Hope you find some time to send me a copy now (jera@uol.com.br) but please don't expect an immediate reply as it certainly deserves time to be well thought of and I'm a bit short on it - time, not thinking ;-)
Your images of children are also very nice. I'll find time to comment on them, I promise.
Nice to hear from you. Keep in touch.
Saudades,
José Azevedo

An e-motive image, with a story waiting to be imagined, by the viewer. The third panel actually works for me. The amalgamation of the shadows, or the overpowering absorption of one entity into the other... Do I see a struggle... A hint of resistance maybe from the entity on the right?
This is a very intriguing triptych. One can assume and/or presume so many different interpretations. Frankly dearest, this is one of your best uploads!
Well done :-)

Yes Stefan I noticed it, still I wanted the third not to be an image so shining and so "correct", as the departure and the black space (where the woman used to be)is an obscure situation... The shot is not good, this is the reason why I chose it among more optimistic and well-tones ones... Thanx!

I like it as it is completely open for the viewer to formulate his own story. Not sure that the different quality/feel of the third panel is what I'd want visually, but it can signify a departure in the story.
