About This is Quarry Hill, the DSS building in Leeds, taken from Vicar Lane looking dowm Lady Lane.

I thinkit was about 9ish and there was still a bit of traffic - the main lights are from the bus you can see at the bottom.

This probaby the best shot I got after Steve left us on Tuesday - did ebough blue shots so thought I'd go for a red oe to balance things out a bit!

It's quite a strange effect isn[t it - the bus was going down the hill in a staight line away from me so you see it's ghost more clearley than you'd normally do.

I think this one was on normal white balance - well Automatic anyway. If you put it on to tungsten you get a more interesting effect - gives it a Blue shift I think.

the ones in the Vic Quarter were based on a photo I took of the white pillars holding the roof up - I used that as my benchmark white and the resultant photos come out pretty blue there too!

I tend to use the Colour Balance (CTRL+B) for correcting white balance - well removing strong colour casts.

Fabulous capture Ade, I have never tried anything like this - it looks great !!

I'm going to have to have a play with the white balance a lot more and see what sort of cool effects I can do on the camera.

Although I have found that if I shoot in raw mode then I can adjust the raw file's white balance in software - with the adobe plugin.

Catch u soon,

Steve

love it - night shots are the bane of my existence in terms of being able to take what I figure is a good one - like the feel to this.
