OK Judi, finally tonite, your b/w version appears to me. This morning when i looked after your email, still not there...I had given it up. Saw your mention and someone else mentioned of problem w/UF..Prompted me to look one more time.

And I much prefer the colored version also!! Can you imagine??

Dear Judi,
I forgot to tell you the name of the person I mentioned in my previous comment. It is Dr. Joice Mc Duogall, she stems from New Zealand and works in Paris, France. We are very good friends, on first name basis, I met her first about 15 years ago when I was a discussant in a lecture she gave in Tel Aviv and then in Paris. She wrote the preface to my book, to be seen on www.drspringmann.com
Best regards,
Rafi

One of the most fameous persons in the psychoanlalytic community wrote a book called "Plea for a Measure of Abnormality".
So being a litle bit crazy in a blessing and you are blessed with it.
Best regards,
Rafi

Excellent - I like the light not being above the head but off to the side. In everyday life, let alone when down or in depression, the world and thoughts can feel as though they are swirling around, and it is hard to find the light/clarity, and it is not always in front of us.

Ahh, but Dr Rafi, you haven't disappointed me. I always see something in an image, and it is always there, even if it isn't obvious to the eye. You just have to look at the image, ask yourself, what is it about, who belongs to it, what is the purpose for taking that image. And then you will see it.

I might seem a little crazy to some people but that is just a part of me. I cannot help it and I have no idea how to change that, or if I even want to change it.

Right now, the physical world has very little to offer us, at least insofar as the political situation is concerned. I won't burden you with the details and purely personally I have nothing to complain about, but I find solace in photography and especially in yours all the same.
Thank you for your comment on my "White on white". Once more you want to see beyond the overtly visible. This time, however, I have to dispappoint you. It was something I saw in a shop-window and realised its photographic poptential. It was off-white light green to begin with, but I thought it might look more effective the way I posted it.
Regards,
Rafi

Thankyou very much Roby. And I am flattered that you have added me to your friends list. I am hoping to go through some more of your work soon as I did see quite a few of your images that I wanted to study a little more closely.

Randy, Randy, I am such a twit. I received your comment via email and I replied directly from that email, without realising you had actually attached an example of what you were saying.

It wasn't until just now that I have come in to the image and seen your version. And then I read my reply beneath it....LOL!! I just realised that we were both saying the same thing and yet I had not seen your image.

So I want to say thankyou for giving me a laugh in my silly error. And thankyou for working with "Rescue Yourself".

Sorry, Randy, I didn't mean to make you feel tired.

Your third option for such an image isn't that far off the mark. I have considered doing this image shere the model was in dark tones of BW, while the background was in colour. Hence the grey mood of the person looking up to see the colour of the world that is coming down on him and yet he can see what is within his reach, should he want it.

Does that make sense?

Hi Judi, your output of creative images realized is making me feel tired. LOL I also cast my vote for the colored version, though the BW is appealing. I wouldn't have considered BW but for seeing your post. The message of your image with text and thoughts of BW made me think of a third version.
When down or depressed the world seems to lose it's color, and when really depressed we lose our own color. Because when I've been there myself and felt the desaturation of the world...and perhaps the next day to again see the sunshine producing bright colors...I wondered how it might work for the subject, feeling down and gray, to be lifted, seeing again the colors of the world.
Well, just a thought. Really like your piece and the message.

Thankyou Den. I don't see your preference as being 'long in the tooth' at all. I see it as individualism, which nowadays is a quality to hold onto.

I must be getting long in the tooth. I slightly prefer the B/W. Perhaps it's because I tend to remember most things in B/W. They're both pics with tremendous impact though Judi. Well done.

Thanks Stu. I think I made the right choice. Everybody, seems to prefer the coloured version. That is good.

Thankyou. From what you explained, I can see that my aim was accomplished. I intended for a sky of mystery, to make it into what ever you please. That is the beauty of your own future.

Hi Judi. I have to agree with Ameed. Keep the colors on this one. The B/W is good to see for strictly compositional focus but the color really brings this to life, makes it happen.
I love the swirls over his head that could be a hurricane or a spiral galaxy. The low angle looking up is perfect for this scene, as it emphasizes our connection with the world and the cosmos. Well done again. Kurt

Ameed, I forgot to mention in my last reply that I did a BW version of this image. I wasn't sure which to upload. I have attached it here. Maybe you can decide for me, please.

Thankyou very much Ameed. I was getting a little worried with the comparison of views to comments. Wondering if this one was completly out of whack. But you have appeased me. So thankyou.
