Jeff, I love this! Really unique idea, and great lighting. Don't know how you did that with the maks. Yulia's expression and "shhhh" is great!

Daniel, It is one light - a Sunpak 544 with a Sto-fen diffuser and a snoot made from a cardboard tube

A very interesting shot Jeff, and I'm curious about how you went about shooting it. I'm guessing the mask is semi-transparent. Is it one light, a soft spotlight through the mask itself? Or two? I wouldn't be surprised at a second, given the lighting on Yulia seems like it might be slightly offset.
It's a very well taken photograph, and I really like it's tones and textures. I'm fascinated as to how you went about it.

Thank you Patrick. I actually prefer "art" shots over model shots.

Yes, very stunning and creatively done. I do agree that more light on the mouth area to better see the finger upon the mouth. Not really a suggestion, just an idea: have you thought about tilting the mask just slightly more towards the camera-just for a different pov? This is some very creative and inspiring stuff, well done~~~

Carol,
Thank you. Except for cropping, the photo is straight out of the camera. Other ones of this mask series will be tweaked.

Way cool, Jeff. Maybe coauld use a little more light on her face, but just nit-picking.

Very creative, beautiful lighting. I love the mood and the hint of her eyes looking at you and the bearly perceptable finger on the lips saying SHHHH. Very "artsy" and yet playful.
